- All institutions and/or individuals intending to buy/sell livestock products during the forthcoming year which begins from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2022 are required to register with the Agricultural Marketing Authority before dealing in such products. The categories of institutions and/or individuals that are required to register are listed below:
- Class A, B and C Abattoirs
- Livestock & Livestock Products Processors
- Livestock & Livestock Products Traders
- Livestock Auctioneers
- Live Animal Buyers
- All registrations are now done online at ama.co.zw
- Registration can also be done at One Stop Shop, Ngungunyana Building, No. 1 Borrowdale Rd, Harare.
- Traders/processors are required to submit periodic returns to AMA.
- Farmers should also register with the Authority so that they can be added on to the farmers’ database.
- NB: Registration of livestock products is in accordance with the provisions of the Agricultural Marketing Authority Act CAP 18:24 and Statutory Instrument 147 of 2012.
